The New Hampshire Art Educators' Association is a professional organization for art educators from every level of
instruction and those interested in the future of art education. For over 25 years, NHAEA has provided anexemplary networking opportunity and collegial support for
art educators throughout New Hampshire.
In order to promotequality art education in NH, the New Hampshire Art Educators' Association will provide leadership,member services, art education advocacy, a format for communicationand opportunites for professional development and participation.

GRAND PRIZE WON FOR STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE ART EDUCATORS
The New Hampshire Art Educators’ Association sent representatives Lori Sweeney and Lisa Rancourt to the National Arts Leadership Conference this summer in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The NH association got a terrific return on their investment through the vast amount of knowledge collected which was directly applicable to the functions of leadership at our state level.

the DaVinci Initiative Weekend Retreat Giveaway !
Mandy Hallenius, from The Da Vinci Initiative www.davinciinitiative.orghas been coordinating with our association to provide this professional development opportunity for our membership. The Da Vinci Initiative, on a Mission for VISUAL LITERACY, has hired a nationally known skill-based artist to lead a two-day, 6 hours per day, workshop for participating art teachers.

A Juried Exhibition of Contemporary Art Created by New Hampshire’s Art Educators

The New Hampshire Institute of Art is pleased to announce a juried exhibition of works created by New Hampshire’s Art Educators. This exhibition of painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, mixed media and sculpture will be on display in the Institute’s French Building Gallery.

Drawing from the Past: Using Local History Sources to Inspire Learning
a free professional-development workshop
Wednesday, January 14, from 9 am to 3 pm at the Laconia Public Library
State Council on the Arts roster artist and educator Marek Bennett and historian Sophia Woodley will lead participants in an interdisciplinary, hands-on exploration of the relationship between history and sequential art. Participants will learn ways to engage students in creating original comics from primary historic sources. The workshop is presented by the Arts Alliance of Northern New Hampshire and funded by the NH Humanities Council. Pizza lunch is included. Teams of art educators with social studies colleagues – and partners from local historical societies or other community organizations -- are encouraged to attend together. Professional development CEUs offered.
