Josie Villanueva, parent volunteer for St. Thomas Aquinas School in Derry was nominated by St. Thomas Aquinas' art teacher, Kathy Sullivan. Josie has been an invaluable volunteer for St. Thomas Aquinas School helping Kathy hang and remove the art show but also contacted and organized other volunteers to help as well. She took the initiative of talking to staff and administrators to prepare for the “Evening of the Arts” a combined art show and music concert by making sure movable walls were set up, checking on details for the program, and contacting the local newspapers.
She is not only a tremendous support to Kathy but to many others at St. Thomas Aquinas by volunteering for many others, such as food service, music and gym.
Kathy states “Josie is a very humble, gracious and giving person. It is evident to me that she has instilled these virtues and the supporting the arts onto her children, Violet and Vincent who also enjoy giving of their time to help.
The New Hampshire Art Educators' Association is proud to honor Josie Villanueva for the Outstanding Service Award.

With this money Lori was able to create a curriculum that included clay, something that had never been possible before.
When Linda learned that Lori did commissioned graphite portraits, she purchased one, showing she not only cared about supporting her goals as an art teacher, but cared about supporting Lori as an artist.
Lori states “Linda is truly a benevolent person and I honestly don't know what my career or my life today would be like without her. I don't know what I can do to repay her for the impact she has had on me but I hope this nomination serves as a good start.”
